At Hunter Valley Smiles Dental Clinic our core values are:
INNITIATIVE | TEAMWORK QUALITY | CULTURE
With over 15 years of hands-on experience as an Oral Health Therapist and more than 20 years in the dental industry, I bring a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to improving patient care. As a director of Hunter Valley Smiles, I lead a team that thrives on collaboration, respect, and an unwavering dedication to exceptional service.
Under my guidance, the company fosters an incredible culture rooted in integrity, innovation, and the highest standards of patient care. I am passionate about promoting lifelong oral health and creating a positive, supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.
I have developed a unique skill set when it comes to treating paediatric patients. I take pride in making young patients feel comfortable and at ease while ensuring they receive the best possible treatment in a nurturing environment.
Hi my name is Annamaria, I grew up in Italy, where I obtained my combined Bachelor and Master degree in Dentistry with Honors. I moved to Sydney in 2017 to be with my Australian husband, and we are now enjoying living in the Hunter region.
I have an interest in restorative dentistry, implants and veneers. What I love the most about my job is to connect with people and make them feel finally at ease going to the dentist. I also collaborate with a research group at the University of Brescia (Italy), and you can find my work on some international papers.
Outside of dentistry, I love to hike, and I am an avid reader. I also consider myself a good cook — ask me about my tiramisù recipe!
Hi, my name is Stef, and I am one of the dentists at Hunter Valley Smiles. You’ll find me working at our Greta and Huntlee clinics, providing exceptional care to patients across the Hunter Valley region. I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from Charles Sturt University in Orange, NSW. Having grown up in Singleton, I’m thrilled to be back home, serving the community I love.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and am passionate about creating positive experiences for every patient in the dental chair. I believe in working collaboratively with patients to improve and maintain their oral health for the long term.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends.
It’s a privilege to work with such a dedicated and caring team at Hunter Valley Smiles, and I look forward to helping you achieve your healthiest smile!
With a career spanning both the UK and Australia, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to Hunter Valley Smiles. I’m passionate about providing high-quality care and creating a welcoming environment for all my patients. I look forward to meeting you, and I’m confident you’ll feel right at home in our clinic!
Practicing in two countries has given me the opportunity to refine my skills across a wide range of dental treatments, allowing me to deliver personalised, effective care. I’m also dedicated to supporting the next generation of dental professionals through my involvement in the ADA Recent Graduate Mentor Program, where I provide mentorship and guidance to new dentists entering the field.
I always strive to help my patients understand their treatment options so they can make informed decisions that support their long-term dental health and well-being.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time keeping up with my grandchildren and attempting to play golf — although I must admit, my game still needs a lot of work!
Hi my name is Brittany Trudgett and I am an Oral Health Therapist who has been working in private practice for the past 7 years.
I graduated from university in 2017 with Distinction and a School award for Commitment to the Profession. I am committed to making my patients feel comfortable and reassured while in clinic and empowered to embrace positive oral health practices at home. My strengths lie in paediatric and preventative dentistry, and in the treatment of Periodontal (Gum) Disease. I am passionate about oral health promotion and education and have completed continuing professional development programs to offer whitening, orthodontic and sleep appliance services to my patients.
I am a busy Mum to my 2-year-old fur baby Broome, and I am a foster carer for dogs looking for their forever homes. I am also part of a local book club. I love going away in the caravan with my partner and our Kelpie, and spending time outdoors or at the beach. I enjoy travelling and have currently been fortunate enough to visit over 30 countries. I have recently taken up running and completed my first half marathon in 2024.
It is a privilege to be a part of the team at Hunter Valley Smiles due to the exceptional support of my colleagues, who are like family.
Hi, I’m Dr. Haily, a dedicated and experienced general dentist with a big smile and an easy laugh. I’m passionate about providing personalised, easy-to-understand advice and ensuring all your questions are answered before we begin any treatment.
I’m multilingual and fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which helps me connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
With several years of experience, I have a special interest in oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. Whether it’s dental implants, wisdom teeth issues, or enhancing your smile, I’m here to help you achieve your dental goals!
Outside the clinic, you’ll often find me playing basketball, mountain biking, or enjoying time in the snow. I look forward to meeting you and helping you smile confidently!
Fuelled by a passion for oral health, I embarked on my academic journey at the University of Newcastle, earning a Bachelor of Oral Health, Graduate Diploma in Dental Therapy, and a Bachelor of Health Science with Honours.
For the first eight years after graduating, I honed my skills in NSW Health public dental clinics across the Hunter New England and Central Coast Local Health Districts. This experience broadened my knowledge and clinical skills including the supervision of students, mentoring colleagues, and directly treat patients.
My commitment to oral health extends beyond traditional settings. I’ve embraced the challenge of providing dental care in remote Indigenous communities through FIFO placements in the Northern Territory. In locations like Galiwinku, Yarralin, Timber Creek, and Maningrida, I’ve had the privilege of making a positive impact on the oral health of these communities.
I’m passionate about creating a positive patient experience. A good dad joke can go a long way in calming nerves and making treatment more enjoyable.
When I’m not immersed in the world of dentistry, you’ll find me outdoors, exploring nature on my mountain bike. I also enjoy quiet moments with a good book or audiobook and spending quality time with my pooches Cado and Texi.
Hi, I’m Lucy, an Oral Health Therapist at Hunter Valley Smiles. I’m so excited to have stepped into this role after being part of the team for several years as a Dental Assistant while completing my studies at the University of Newcastle.
Working alongside the team throughout my studies provided me with valuable clinical experience and helped shape my patient-centred approach to care. I’m passionate about preventive dentistry and enjoy building trusting relationships with patients to help them feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their oral health.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, keeping active at the gym, and making the most of the beach whenever I can. I’m also a huge dog lover and spend as much time as possible with my beautiful dog, Bently.
I look forward to welcoming you to Hunter Valley Smiles and supporting you on your oral health journey.
